Blame My Mac

Poma, which means apple in Hawaiian, is on the left. My old laptop on the right is the one with the broadband card, the one I use to connect to the Internet when I'm on travel.

Being the new baby, Poma wanted me to play with its cool movie and music making tools. WOOSH, nearly a week gone since my last post and I've hardly read anyone else's blogs -- Sorry!!!

Well, Poma is quietly sleeping now so I'm back on my old laptop catching up. Since my last post I went out for a longer 1.5 hour bike ride, a 2 hour run and today I went for a 3.5 hour run, which was about 20 miles, the longest run I'll do for my next marathon end of this month. All were done at low intensity and went quite well, even the bike ride. I've avoided swimming the past few days since it hurt my ribs the most and I wanted to be as pain-free as possible for my long run today. Tomorrow I'll swim and bike.

Off now to visit others!

Oh, I should have included a link to my previous post about what happened. Basically, the asphalt jumped up and hit me (I crashed on my bike).

your new mac looks just LOVELY! Can't wait to see all the things you'll do with it! And you sound more or less back on track - with the kind of attitude that I'm going to follow - you're sensible and listen to your body (and still manage to get a 20M in). Have a good one!

Hello Poma, it's your Auntie JadeLady! I'm so glad u decided to get a Mac! Life is good with a Mac.

Sounds like your workout is going well!

And...let me tell u...GOOGLE READER is so great - I just pull that page up, and ...I see everyone's updates so quickly. A real timesaver. Took me only about 1/2 hour to set up, and well worth it (I had a bunch of RSS feeds to move over - probably more than u).

I just got a MacBook Pro myself over the weekend! Not a clue how to use any of the fun software, but I'll get there!

Bad Poma!

I am glad you feeling ok.. 20 miles is great.. Is NJ also on the 30th? Thats kind of neat that we're doing races at the same time (and on the same team!)

Last weekend I happened to (finally) check back on your blog and saw the pictures of your injuries.
Oh oh oh oh... how painful that must have been.
And always so hard to wait to heal so you can be active again.
Glad you are getting back to it.
Well wishes!!

You are amazing! It seems like you can just pick up where you left off and, oh, say....run 20 miles in 3.5 hours! Rock on, sister!

You are so good. I've been putting off a 20-miler for several weeks now!

Aren't new computers great! Look forward to seeing some new videos utilizing the movie making tools.

Wow, a 3.5 hour run, 'nuff said. Glad the bike ride went well and hope subsequent rides have been smooth.

It's nice to see the numbers going up. That means you are recovering and will be 100% soon. I wish I had a marathon coming up soon, not until October. I have a 10K race the weekend of your marathon, no comparison :-)

Cool toys!

Great job on your super long runs and a longer bike ride. I read back to your last post- I am really proud of you for getting back on the bike despite your fears. You might need a few rides to get back to your old self, but it'll happen. Try to think positive and remember to have fun!! :) Have a great weekend!
