The Maine Marathon had perfect weather conditions and a beautiful race course. But it's tough to run a marathon when you're sick. I finished in 4:13:29, not my best marathon performance but I'll take it. Race report to follow in a couple days after I get some rest!

Maine Marathon is Done!

You're like the energizer bunny! You keep going and going. Congrats on yet another marathon
Congrats, Shirley. You're definitely going to need some rest. Hopefully your trip from the back woods of NH went well.
Travel safe back to FL. Two more states down... 11 to go!
Congrats Shirley! Get better soon. Look forward to reading the race report and seeing pics!
Shirley,
You are sick and you run a marathon? Looking at the time..you are about 10-15 min slower than your normal marathon.
So I say...good job :)
I hope you enjoy Maine..despite the sucky weather.
Good job.
Robert
YOu are something else woman. RUnning a marathon when sick - please take some down time now.. And btw - you STILL look gorgeous, sick after a marathon, what a stunner!
Good that you could finish it (Maine) and quite respectably, given you ran last week, too. It's important to get good rest to build up your strength and immunity again. I felt tired yesterday evening (Sunday) at the end of a busy but good week, but with a little rest I feel ready to start again tomorrow morning (Tuesday). Fortunately, Monday I just work at home (like every other day).
WOW! Well I can't wait to hear about it.
Rest up and get well Shirl.
Wow you ran a marathon sick, God bless your heart. Great job!! Make sure you rest up and get better. Congrats on another marathon biting the dust.
Congratulations! Two in two weeks that's remarkable. Rest up and get well soon. Off to NY on Wednesday.
Good job on the Maine Marathon. Hope you're feeling better soon. Can't wait to read the race report. I rocked the half by the way. No real taper, just a bit of a tummy bug on Tuesday, had a not enjoyable 5 mile run on Wed. and decided to rest my weary body for Sunday. It showed.
