Don't Blink!!

Cuz it's not gonna last long.

This cold front, that is. Morning temps are below 70 for the first time since like April. There's a cool, crisp feeling to the air and NO wind. We're only going to get up to maybe 83 degs today. Incredible!!

Too bad my legs are not quite ready to run the 15-miler I have on tap for later this week. It's the perfect day for it. No, instead I have a swim to do. The lifeguards will probably be all bundled up in sweats shivering. Hell, I might have to wait until lunch time so I won't freeeeeze my patooey getting out. Do I even have any sweats?

Thanks for all the nice comments on my FL Challenge post. It was the most difficult half iron tri course I've done to date, even w/o the nutrition SNAFU, but I wouldn't want all races to be easy or go well, would I?

No, then it'd be boring and I'd have to move on to something more challenging :-)

Hope everyone has a great day!

The water will probably be warmer than the air!

Brrrrrr....kidding. It was 54˚F this morning for my bike. I guess for you all though, that is cold.

Enjoy it while it lasts!

Oh, welcome to Omaha Dave. Hope you brought a coat!

Too bad we can't 'order' the weather based on which workout is on tap. Hope you don't freeze in the water - or more likely, when you get out!

I love your attitude...boring just doesn't serve any purpose does it? That's how you constantly inspire me, thanks!

The half-ironman must have been a tough course. I am sure you are in excellent shape. I was a little surprised you took 50 minutes for your swim. With all your strength training you could be faster than that. So I am glad your coach is getting you to swim today. Maybe a few minutes on the swim saved does not make much different in a triathlon, but at least you will know what it is to feel great after a good swim. Now the weather is cooler here (down to 88F), I will resume my push-ups training.

Bruce: Yes, could have been faster on the swim if I'd not lined up so far back and if I'd run into the water (rather than walked leisurely). I got a bit boxed in early on and had to work my way past some folks. On the other hand, it was supposed to be an easy ironman pace swim and I had figured it'd probably take me 50-55 min. Definitely did not take much out of me, which is good.
